about .. this blogthing
Hello everybody and welcome to this blog
This blog was intended to become a pure progress blog for my project called 'Mu Fu'
which didn't start yet,
which means that there wasn't much progress if any at all.
Now, I'm going to change that.
No, I'm not starting the project or anything like that, I simply change the blog to a more or less personal one, so you'll likely read more personal, and even more uninteresting stuff if I manage to write at all.
Anyway, have fun, if you manage to.
time..
is running, and I'm sleepy ;)
My old laziness is back, so I don't write on a daily base,
there isn't that much to tell anyway.
I met Elke (mentioned in the previous Entry called "sleep, oh sleep") yesterday
as she was recording at the studio.
She's different than I imagined her, but nice, as expected.
I'll see and hear her tomorrow morning, guess it will be a good start in the day.
changing
Well, guess I did nothing again, just changing some stuff but nothing directly related to Mu Fu.
nothing but screwing
After I screwed my cd and dvd drives up the last time I screwed around some month ago,
I had to screw around again.
At least it works again after some screwing around,
I just hope that I didn't screw up something else.
Well, it looks like I did nothing but screwing today.
Oh, I think I should create a new category and name it 'useless',
for all those entries like this one which could not be of less use.
uh, I even screwed this entry in the end.

strange days
Well, I wrote about the headphones I got two days ago.
They are hundred to none compared to my headset or speakers.
I can hear nuances now, I didn't even think they could be there.
I really enjoy listening to music now, a lot more then before,
it even frightens me sometimes.
And I feel somehow ready to make music, after all it's much more satisfying
if you can hear what you are doing, not only guessing it.
The downside of the phones is that they, while light-weight, are uncomfortable to wear.
But maybe that's a upside, because I have to make some pauses to give my ears some rest.
Yeah I know that it's not recommended to mix with headphones,
but I think it's clever when actually creating sounds.
Well, and I just wrote a text I guess, out of nowhere maybe, in 2 minutes.
It's somehow weird, it's somehow stupid and it's simple, and I like it somehow.
I am not sure what drove me but I hope that it will drive me again
and let me create the music to the text. Over and out.

blog
The design is basically a pre-made template with only very slight changes,
which are done manually in the body every time I write an entry or a static page,
and consist mainly of additional navigation. I won't use one of those navigation elements any longer since I can't make it work.
I would like to use the headline of every entry as an anchor to simply navigate
to the top of the entry, but this just leads to 'comment the entry' which makes no sense
since this button is already at the bottom of ever entry.
So I defined an anchor at the first line of every entry which doesn't work very well either,
simply because you don't get the headline then.
So this is the last entry with that thingy, enjoy ;)
I didn't want to mess around with those templates, so I took one as it was.
Some other templates are nice too, but I chose this one mainly because of
the nice and easy configurable sidebar navigation for static pages (the thing on the left side)
and because of it's straightforward design
(you could even enjoy this page on a black/white screen).
This blog is non-valid xhtml 1.0 transitional because there are some minor errors,
either in the template or in supersized.org, so it's something I can't change.
The homepage will likely be xhtml 1.0 strict, so prepare for 404s or the like ;)
"Altstadtzauber 2006"
"Altstadtzauber" means something like "old city magic" and is some kind of festival here
with more or less local bands (there were 52 bands over 2 days this year),
a flea market (got a pair of AKG K240 for 5€) and some other stuff.
Two of three bands I listened to yesterday were quite good, one was outstanding.
They're called "Free to Dream" and consist of 5 spanish and one austrian guy,
2 Guitars, a bass, a drum, an opera-voice and a lot of key instruments, like a Hammond B3,
a Minimoog and so on. The singers' voice is great and he has a good stage pressence,
the skills of the guy on the keys are outstanding and the others also know what thei're doing. They played some covers like "hush" from deep purple and a lot of own songs
which were too complex for most of the audiance maybe, but sounded just great.
I likely get the chance to assist the next record of this band and the "Peter Mayr Project" which
is another band (Acid Jazz and the like if i kept that correctly) of the guy on the keys, Peter Mayr. He's really a king on the keys, loves the B3 and the Minimoog and makes crazy great music.
I hope that I can do something with him, but I think that my stuff will be like childplay compared to his music.

sleep, oh sleep
Sleep is a nice thing, you always get it when you don't need it,
and the other way 'round.
And Sleep always reminds me of:
"Sleep, oh sleep, why don't you come, take my soul away." .. and so on.
A great song of a great musician which I usually call "Elke, the unknown artist"
since I don't know any other name than Elke and she being unknown to me and
almost anyone, since she hasn't released anything, as far as I know.
But this woman is definitely an artist, I love her songs, even in the rather raw state.
Well, I hope that I can make some songs with her someday,
sing a duet (which isn't a good idea since it would most likely ruin the song), or just record her.
Here we go
Well, to be true, it's main purpose is to help me moving along
through doing something on a daily base.
So, I have to apologize, this blog is not for you, it's for me.
But feel free to comment anything you like, that's why this thing is on the web.
My native language is German,
but I likely keep this blog in english (even if it's bad english)
to reach a broader range of people.
It would be nice if you could keep your comments in english too,
but feel free to write in German if you consider your english as too bad to be understandable.
It looks like this blog will help me getting some xhtml-skills
which I will need anyway for my webpage (coming soon, hopefully),
please be patient at least until I find out how to properly format those texts.
I guess this is enough for the first entry, 'till tomorrow
cheers
Philipp
